Flagstaff Functional Medicine, Beth Claxton, MD
Practicing medicine for over 25 years, I’ve observed an evolution in Western Medicine as well as its population. Procedures, antibiotics, and opioids often replace the art of medicine. Many people want a quick fix and have lost connection with their own bodies. Early in my training a curiosity developed around traditional and cultural methods that cure and help people stay well. The journey has brought me to to study meditation, yoga, Ayruveda, and Functional Medicine. Two important principles became clear. Wellness is a balance. The body wants to heal itself.
When health and wellness are valued above all else, Functional Medicine can begin. There are many components to a healthy person that include diet and exercise, but wellness does not stop there. Please first register as a new patient here. The schedule a discovery call by completing the form on the Contact page.
I also offer gynecology services and mindfulness-based stress reduction courses. For laser skin revitalization and PicoSure laser tattoo removal go here.
Sedona Psychiatry, Susan Bigley, FNP/PMHNP-BC
Susan’s philosophy reflects a deep understanding of the complexity of human experience and the importance of addressing mental health challenges. By recognizing that we are all continually evolving, she acknowledges the fluidity of personal growth and the need for adaptable approaches to mental health care.
Her holistic approach goes beyond simply prescribing medication to alleviate symptoms. Instead, she recognizes that true healing often requires addressing various aspects of a person’s life, including their lifestyle habits, personal goals, and behavioral patterns. By incorporating elements such as goal setting and behavioral counseling, Susan empowers her clients to actively participate in their own journey towards mental wellness.
Integrating medication management with lifestyle habits, personal goals, and behavioral counseling, Susan ensures a well-rounded treatment plan. This empowers her clients to take an active role in their healing journey, promoting lasting change. This multifaceted strategy addresses immediate mental health concerns but also nurtures overall well-being and resilience. Learn more about my services here.
